COMPLETED PROJECTS:
1. Flora of Betla National Park (2015-2019): A total of 483 spp. of angiosperm were documented. One interesting collection of fungi is endemic to India (Craterellus shoreae Hembrom, K. Das, A. Parihar & Buyck) and one genus (Soliva) is new to erstwhile Bihar (presently Bihar and Jharkhand) so far.
2. Prepared systematic account of selected genera of Family Asteraceae for Flora of Bihar (27 spp. under 20 genera including cultivated: 4 spp. under 2 genera: Helianthus-3 and Zinnia-1), vol. 2 and Flora of Jharkhand (30 spp. under 20 genera including cultivated : 5 spp. under 3 genera: Eupatorium-1, Helianthus-3 and Zinnia-1), vol. 2.
3. Indicative flora of the 3 (three) eco-sensitive zones(ESZ):
i. ESZ of Palamau tiger reserve, Jharkhand.
ii. ESZ of Mahuadanr Wolf Sanctuary, Jharkhand.

7. Flora of Udaipur Wildlife Sanctuary, West Champaran, Bihar

The flora comprises 283 taxa belonging to 225 genera and 71 families. The report has been enriched with coloured maps and photographs of plants. In the present investigation, one species namely Alysicarpus roxburghianus Thoth. & A.Pramanik endemic to India and two species [Rauvolfia serpentina (L.) Benth. ex Kurz and Vanda tessellata (Roxb.) Hook. ex G.Don] listed in Appendix-II of CITES has been documented.
8. Flora of Gautam Buddha Wildlife Sanctuary, Bihar & Jharkhand
(Anand Kumar & Dr. P. Venu; 2012–2016)
The flora comprises 499 taxa (including 492 species, 2 subspecies and 5 varieties) in 359 genera belonging to 102 families. It also contains line drawings for 25 taxa, 105 photo-plates for 427 taxa and 7 coloured maps. The important findings are: Typhonium inopinatum Prain is rediscovered after a lapse of 115 years from the Sanctuary; Jatropha nana Dalzell & A.Gibson has been assessed for IUCN status and placed as Vulnerable B2ab(iii, v) ver 3.1 category; four species are reported as new records for Bihar and Jharkhand.

1. Flora of India: A detailed description of the family Elaeagnaceae in India was prepared with 2 genera with 15 species.
2. Preparation of Checklist: Checklist of 2 families (Elaeagnaceae and Chloranthaceae) Chloranthaceae (5 members) and Elaeagnaceae (15 members) with brief nomenclature citation and geographic distribution has been prepared
3. Studies on natural dye from some selected plants of West Bengal for dyeing cotton fabrics (2019-2020): The present work was designed to study the effect of five (5) commonly occuring plants Dimocarpus longan, Rivina humulis, Ixora coccina, Cuscuta reflexa and Lagerstroemia speciosa for their potential to be used as dye source for cotton fabric. The effects of different mordants were also noted in three different dyeing procedures. A total of 24 dyed cloth samples were produced and the colour fastness to washing was also studied. Ixora coccina were suitable as natural dye yielding plants. The different mordants used in this study also resulted in a gradient of colours obtained; especially iron and myrobalan yielded more darker colours.

COMPLETED PROJECTS:
Flora of Koderma Wildlife Sanctuary, Jharkhand (2011–2018): A total of 437 taxa of angiosperm belonging to 100 Angiosperm families as per APG IV also 8 Pteridophytes were documented. During this project two new record for the state, one species rediscovered after gap of 90 years, 06 endemic species were recorded. Ethnobotanical and Phytosociological studies were also conducted.
