Status of Survey
Since the inception of the Centre, ca 187 intensive and extensive survey tours were conducted in various regions falling under its jurisdiction. As a result of these efforts, many areas are fairly well explored. Out of 154 districts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh under this Centre, about 60 districts are well explored while about 40 districts are partially explored. About 54 districts remain to be explored.
