Status of Survey

All the three states have been explored botanically.Two state floras- Flora of Orissa and Flora of Andhra Pradesh and a few district floras have been published. But, many areas in the Eastern Ghats are still under explored/ unexplored. While accounting all this, about 40% of its total jurisdictional area may be considered as well explored, another 40% moderately explored and the remaining 20% unexplored. So, this regional centre has taken initiative to cover such gap areas. Presently,the centre has been engaged in exploring the floras ofSeshachalam Biosphere Reserve, Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve, Kawal Tiger Reserve,Satkosia Tiger Reserve.It is also working on Grasses of Odisha. This regional centre has already published the Tree flora of Hyderabad in the year 2012.
