Established on 30th March 1972, having objective of documentation of Flora of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands through extensive and intensive exploration, thereby enriching the herbarium and Museum of the Circle. In addition, Centre also conserves the plant resources of the islands in its Associated Garden.
