Visit the Herbarium
Notice
In view of the prevailing conditions related to Novel Corona virus (COVID – 19) outbreak, being reported from different parts of the country, most of the Educational Institutions in different states, including West Bengal are closed. In this connection, considering the safety of the staff and the visitors, it is decided to close the Herbarium halls of this institute to the visitors until March 31, 2020.
VISITING HOURS: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
[The working hours of the herbarium is from 9:30 AM to 6 PM (Monday to Friday) and it remains closed on Saturday, Sunday and National/ Gazetted Holidays]
An official request letter addressing to the ‘Scientist E & Head, Central National Herbarium, Botanical Survey of India, Botanic Garden, Howrah – 711 103’ is to be send by post or email (cnh@bsi.gov.in; calherbarium@yahoo.co.in). The letter/ e-mail should reach to the office at least 7 days prior to the visit with following details.

To visit AJC Bose Indian Botanic Garden, a separate official letter addressing to the ‘Scientist E & Head, AJC Bose Indian Botanic Garden, Botanical Survey of India, Botanic Garden, Howrah – 711 103’ is to be send by post or email (ibg_bsi@rediffmail.com) at least 10 days prior to the visit with the above mentioned details.
